Saturday 20th July. 0905 – 0950

Only 7 degs at 0700. Breeze light. Clear sunny sky. Track dry.

Will have to start going out later in day. Nothing of note seen along Petersons Creek Walk although some birds active on sunny side of Bunya Street. Could not blame Cody for remaining in bed.

White-Cheeked Honeyeater – Phylidonyris niger

Very attractive honeyeater with brilliant white cheek patch and yellow patch in folded wing.
Probable juvenile of above but can’t be sure.

Australian King Parrot – Alisterus scapullaris (female)

Female KP having a good feed. (Not the specimen seen today)

Rainbow Bee-Eater – Merops ornatus.

Pair of Bee-Eaters resting after taking breakfast from my hive! Too beautiful to chase away.
