Saturday 10th August 2019. 1515-1615

Bright sunny day. Warm with little breeze. No rain. Track dry.

Late start today after a Birding Walk starting 0700 followed by chores at home. Two platypus at Snodgrass’s Pool and the Narrows but both in a hurry to get somewhere. Moderate sized Saw-Shelled Turtle at the Log Jam and the Green Ringtail Possum mother & joey at their regular spot. The Bush Stone-Curlews more relaxed today and back at Nicks.

Platypus. Ornithorhynchus anatinus

Snodgrass’s Pool
The Narrows. These are the sort of Platypus pics I think are rather boring but I suppose I’ve seen many of them!

Saw-Shelled Turtle. Elseya latisternum

Even one like this can be quite hard to see if it remains immobile.

Green Ringtail Possum. Pseudochirax archeri

A glimpse of mother.
Baby Face.

Bush Stone-Curlew. Burhinus grallarius

Relaxed. Waiting for opening time at Nick’s ?
